Just got to this. Loved the salad but loved the explanation of the adaption even better...
My adaptions to-date have generally been intuitive or, I suppose a better descriptor, would be experiential. Your explanation of your process gives me a frame of reference to make my future adaptions more tasty.
I cannot wait to attempt more adaptions in the next two weeks, the period before my next trip out of town when I refuse to buy anything new and am determined to mine my pantry and clean out my frig.
I made this salad, and it was a fantastic respite from. a week of sugar cookies and eggnog! Left out the feta, and it was delicious without. Loved the broccoli/date combination!
I was just printing out the recipe and saw I forgot the feta. It’s fine without but will add it next week when I make it again for a gathering of tennis buddies.
I chuckled at “is it worth it? I won’t make it, so I’ll never know”. Knowing your limits is half the battle! 😂
