The Caroline Chambers recipe reminds me of what I think was an Alison Roman recipe where you roast tomatoes in the oven with evoo, achovies and garlic and while that is happening you boil some bucatini. Once the pasta is done, you simply drain it and dump it on top of the roasted tomatoes and mix it altogether. So simple, so delicious. And cooking the pasta in parallel also makes this much quicker (but less hands off than Caroline's recipe).

I made the titular recipe last night. I can attest that Baked tomato butter pasta is exactly that.
