Oh, mom and dad are going out tonight. Spaghetti-os from a can. Just looking at the photo made me happy. Definitely making this. And forwarding the recipe to my brothers.
Ali, this was nostalgic, simple and I enjoyed eating. I'm in a household of two, so we have lots of soggy pasta leftovers, and when I suggested this as a late night reheat for my spouse their eyes pretty much bugged out with joy and said "there's so many meatballs."
This is calling me!! I ate so many of these as a kid. One summer week when I was eight my best friend (across the street) and I ate spaghetti-os together for lunch every day for a full week. It was our childhood bliss and totally amazing, until about day six. I never ate them again! ;)
Oh the nostalgia that hit when I saw that can! Made this tonight with mild sausage (next time I’ll use hot!) and orecchiette pasta and it’s perfect. Better than the original in all the best ways.
I wish I could say I never had these from the can, but it was 100% my go-to afterschool snack in the 80s. That can is CORE MEMORIES unlocked.

This ruled, perfect for the cold weather!!
I can't think of anything I want to eat more right now. This looks incredible.
Thanks Ariel, glad you agree

I’m making this asap. My only “concern” is that the canned version was very sweet. I’m going to use spicy sausage to make it more savory. Yum 😋
Can’t wait to try this! Childhood memories. Thanks for sharing.
